Why and how do we draw the line between something that needs to be fixed and something that doesn’t? Please don’t try to mend this is a study on personal space, its scale and the tensions between the intact and the broken.
To mend can mean, among other things, to fix, to heal, to repair or to patch up. It can also mean caring, and it raises questions about what can be mended. When is caring needed and when would it be best to leave things as they are? We can maintain the old, or look at something broken as a piece of another, functional, whole.
