Maa-Tila’s autumn programme 2025 is realised with HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme at Gallery Augusta!

Maa-Tila is currently hosting its last exhibition in Pääskylänrinne, Helsinki, due to the sudden termination of the Arts Promotion Centre’s operating grant for Art School Maa. The much-loved and much-used project and gallery space has to be given up, even though exhibitions were scheduled until the end of 2025. In recent years, Maa-Tila has organised an annual exhibition programme that has included multiple first solo exhibitions and countless events from panel discussions to performances. Losing a space like this means lost opportunities to the artists, which is directly opposed to what Maa-Tila has sought to do.

After receiving the news about the cuts and their effects, HIAP, Art School Maa’s neighbouring organisation in Suomenlinna, reached out with an offer to organise Maa-Tila’s autumn exhibitions at Gallery Augusta as a HIAP x Maa-Tila collaboration.

The HIAP x Maa-Tila will begin in the autumn with an exhibition in November 2025!
